So the potluck idea wasn't working.... so we're going to put that on the shelf for now.

We are going to move on the smaller projects that will be easier to achieve!

UNICEF Day!!

February 9- everyone wears blue... we will ask everyone to wear blue and will put facts on stickers or pins

Please wear blue shirts for the next two weeks. Next week for the club picture and the week after for UNICEF club.

Also, next week we will be having mini-bake sales during break on Monday Wednesday and Friday.

Next week come prepared for making Posters!!!!We will make posters advertising UNICEF day.

Things we talked about:

UNICEF T-shirts

We will be trying to get everyone UNICEF t-shirts. The cost will be out of pocket as all UNICEF fundraising must go to UNICEF. We will be designing these shirts on our own.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF

We will be having a table at Break to hand out boxes for trick or treat for UNICEF. You signed up for days during our meeting today.

Give the people information on how it works. Make sure you say that it needs to come back to school. The box is free!! Make sure you take down the name of the person and their adviser when you give them a box, and write their name on their box when you give it to them. If they ask, make sure to explain what UNICEF is. AYou don't have to give that much to make a big difference.

Possibly- Ask the advisers if they can collect the boxes after Halloween.

Business Boxes-

If you are okay with it, ask business in your area that you frequent if you could leave a small box for UNICEF donations.

Petition:

Congress is currently debating budget cuts for 2012. UNICEF is in danger of a cut. In order to ensure that UNICEF is receiving as much money as it did for this past year, we are ordering a petition to be sent into a representative of MA advocating UNICEF in the debate. Please ask people who get Trick or Treat boxes to sign the petition.
